Heather FonsecaFashion has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a child I spent most of my free time sketching outfits and pinning together scarves to create dress up costumes. I loved playing with my Barbie dolls as well, creating little clothes from bits of cloth and decorating her town house with my own paintings and hand-made furniture.

Later I entered Otis College of Art and Design and majored in Fashion Design.  In my Junior year I transferred to Parsons in Paris and spent the next two years absorbing Parisienne fashion, attending every fashion show possible, and interning at Cerrutti 1881.

Not too long after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in fashion design I landed an amazing job designing clothes for the doll I spent so much time playing with as a kid, Barbie! While at Mattel I created everything from the yearly low-priced bathing suit doll for little girls to expensive flights of fancy for the adult collector. I designed dolls dressed in the most up-to-date fashions and some that were inspired by historical costumes.

After leaving Mattel I started my own studio and now design dolls and other girls toys for entrepreneurs and toy companies like Spin Master, MGA Entertainment and Moose Toys.
