The creators of the website Frugal Dad asked me to share their research on toys. Although their spin on the successful marketing and design of toys is negative I still thought the information was worth sharing. In fact I even learned some new things about the profitability of toys. For instance, I had no idea the toy industry was larger than the movie industry. Wow! I have heard from friends that work for major toy companies that the recession seemed to help their profits rather than hurt them. It seems like no matter how difficult a parent’s financial situation might be, they want their children to be happy, and toys make children happy.
