Cool Things from Japan

Glitter Nail Polish from Japan

I love looking at items that have been imported from other countries. Often the packaging is as innovative as the product inside. I found these cool things from Japan in a little shop in Little Tokyo here in downtown Los Angeles.

In the photo above a is a collection of fun glitter and confetti nail polish. The colors weren’t all that unusual, but the different kinds of glitter made them special. The packaging is super cute too. Love those little flowers! Even the display case was cute. The best part is each color had a plastic nail so you could “try” the color on without opening the bottle.

Cute fashion illustrations From Japan

These fashion illustrations caught my eye. Tights are being sold, but what a fun way to do it! I love the stripe dress on the girl on the left. Aren’t they cute?

Flip Flops? No, They’re Hot Flops!

Hot Flops: Cute things from JapanThese flip-flops were wild! There were all different kinds, but I liked the aquatic theme the best. I loved the big plastic bubbles decorating the shoes. Wish I had bought a pair, but they didn’t come in my size.

What do you think of these cool things from Japan?

Love it! When I was in Flushing, Queens last summer, a lot of the women were wearing those flip-flops.

We have a Japanese store called Daiso here, where we get to see some amazing stuff like this. Cute nail polish, accessories, bags,…I love the flip flops you feature here, I had something similar in red!
